Limited Edition Diving Helmets
DESCO has produced limited edition helmets for the Historical Diving Society on three occasions. The first was the 80th Anniversary USN Mark V Helmet (1915-1995). The second was the DESCO 60th Anniversary Abalone Diver’s Helmet (1937-1997). These two series were limited edition runs of 20 helmets. The third limited edition helmet was the USS Squalus Helium Helmet. These custom diving helmets commemorated the raising of the USS Squalus in 1939. The series was limited to 26 helmets in memory of the 26 souls lost in the sinking. All the HDS helmets had special tagging and markings.

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse lacrosse coach John Desko said he expects to have a full roster available when the Orange opens its 2021 season by hosting Army on Feb. 21.
The availability of several SU stars was thrust into doubt by a recent Inside Lacrosse report that said some players might have been involved in Covid protocol violations. Inside Lacrosse didn’t identify any of the players involved or the nature of the violations, but senior attack Stephen Rehfuss entered the transfer portal.
Rehfuss subsequently withdrew his name from the portal. On a Zoom call Tuesday afternoon, Desko said there are no lingering disciplinary issues resulting from appeals processes that would impact the availability of Orange players.
“We’ve got everybody back and everything’s been resolved, for lack of a better word, and we’re good to go,” Desko said.

Rehfuss has been named one of the team’s captains, a status that was voted upon in the fall. Desko didn’t want to discuss the specifics of Rehfuss’s offseason situation.
“It’s good to have him back,” Desko said. “There were some things that happened here at the university and he was waiting to see how that was going to all play out. So he did go into the portal just so he had another option. Out of fairness to him and his family, I think that’s probably all I’ll say about it.”
